Why Yulonda?

Every part of my life has shaped the woman I am still becoming.

The Woman

I have known great love. I have known great loss. I have built a career, raised a family, held onto faith through seasons that tested it, faced uncertainty, and started over more than once. Every part of my life has shaped the woman I am still becoming.

No single chapter owns the whole book. Not the losses. Not the titles. Not any one season, no matter how loudly it once spoke. I am still learning, still creating, still discovering who I am becoming next.

Professional Weight

Thirty-three years in leadership, before any of this had a name.

For thirty-three years, I built a career in corporate leadership, employee development, training, performance improvement, and coaching, helping people grow into new professional possibilities long before I ever called myself a coach or a speaker. I have since added formal training as a certified life coach and in end-of-life doula work. That foundation, professional and lived, is what I bring into every room, every page, and every recording.

Connect the Pieces

For years, these looked like separate parts of my life.

The leader. The writer. The speaker. The woman who loved and lost. The encourager. The storyteller. The coach. The voice. I used to think of these as different things I do. I have come to understand that every part of my life has prepared me for this work. They are one thing, worn in different clothes.

I Hear Differently

The story behind the story.

I've come to understand that I hear differently. I listen for more than what is literally being said. I listen for the meaning underneath the words, and the thing someone may be trying to say even when they have not yet found the language for it.

That listening is what moves across everything I do, writing, speaking, coaching, voice, legacy, relationships, and end-of-life support. Different moments. Different needs. The same gift.

Faith

My faith has been an anchor through many of the seasons that have shaped me, but I've also learned that people don't need to believe exactly as I do for us to share an honest conversation about life, change, love, loss, purpose, and becoming.

Still Becoming

I don't have a formula. I have lived experience, training, curiosity, and a willingness to keep becoming.

I am still learning, still creating, still discovering, still becoming. I don't present myself as someone who has mastered life and now hands out the answer. I create space for people who don't have everything figured out yet, because I don't either. That is exactly where the work begins.
